The Shelly DALI Dimmer Gen3 is a compact and extremely flexible device for controlling lighting brightness in DALI systems. It operates as a single-master controller that supports luminaires with DALI Part 207 (DT6) and sends broadcast messages to all devices on the bus. It also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the BLE Gateway and Wi-Fi Range Extender function. It will work perfectly in both residential and commercial spaces - and without the need for an additional hub.
Built-in DALI power supply and support for 5 luminaires
The device has an integrated 10 mA DALI bus power supply, allowing it to power and control up to 5 DALI luminaires without the need for an external power module. This is a huge convenience during installation - both in new buildings and when retrofitting existing lighting installations.
Precise brightness control
The DALI Dimmer Gen3 offers advanced dimming capabilities - including minimum and maximum brightness settings, transition duration and button fade rate. With night mode, you can also set a fixed brightness level at specific times. The device also supports timers, weekly schedules and response to a DALI bus failure (turning the light on at 100%).
Flexible local control
The Shelly DALI Dimmer Gen3 works with classic wall switches and allows flexible lighting control - either with one button or two. So you can easily integrate it into your existing installation.
Full integration with the Shelly ecosystem and external systems
The dimmer integrates seamlessly with the Shelly Smart Control app, enabling remote control, scenes, schedules and local automations - even without a cloud connection. The device also supports scripting, webhooks, MQTT and local actions, giving you a lot of configuration flexibility. In addition, it supports KNXnet/IP communication, so it can be easily incorporated into advanced KNX installations. Moreover, the dimmer is compatible with popular smart home platforms such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings. What's more, the product belongs to the Gen3 series, featuring Shelly's proprietary ESP32-C3 chip and 8 MB of flash memory. This not only guarantees high performance, but also enables future upgrades to the Matter standard, ensuring compatibility with upcoming smart home solutions.
Virtual component support
